SAT-7 supports the Christians of the Middle East and North Africa in their Christian witness and lives.

They beam the Good News of the Kingdom of God straight into people’s homes, into the centre of family life through Christian media for the Middle East and North Africa.

SAT-7 wanted to develop a more impact-focused culture, where the development of new media content was as effective as possible.

Eido began with organisation-wide workshops to capture the current challenges and questions SAT-7 were experiencing in delivering their mission.

Adapting the double-diamond design model, we facilitated a three-month training experience of interactive workshops with each of SAT-7’s four main TV channels to take a missional challenge and innovate new content as a solution.

We led each through the process of audience research, defining the design challenge, ideating possible solutions, and testing initial versions of those solutions with the target audience.

SAT-7 Channel team member:

“This process we’ve learnt will shift our culture from what we feel like will work – to what we know will work; from a creative idea – to a more practical idea. We usually do things from our heart and not from evidence or the perspective of the user.”

David Middleton, Director of Strategy & Impact:

“We engaged Eido in Spring 2023 for a long-term project to help us create ministry-wide processes around how we design our content and subsequently measure its impact.

“Since our very first meeting with the Eido team, we have been extremely impressed both by their professional approach and their understanding of strategy and impact within a Christian ministry context.

“We have benefited so much from their expertise in guiding us through an initial diagnosis of our current approach to impact, followed by the design of the project and its execution.

This has been a complex project which involves a culture change for us if it is to be successful. The Eido team understand this complexity, and they have gone the extra mile in listening to us, and in being adaptable and open to changing plans when it was called for.

We have greatly appreciated their partnership with us in the last year and look forward to continuing working with them.”

Eido is continuing our work with SAT-7 in 2025 to develop their theory of change and impact measurement approach to their new strategy.
