Measuring the impact of The Send Norway
What is the Kingdom impact of The Send on individuals and society?
The Send is a movement to mobilize the body of Christ into a lifestyle of faith-filled action. Thousands will gather together for a one-day event, 12 hours of worship, prayer, and preaching. The vision is to activate believers to pursue their calling, unifying their beliefs with action.
But to what extent does The Send achieve this vision? What impact does this event have on participants’ mission activity? Have participants been mobilized from their beliefs into actions? And how can The Send improve its impact in future events across the country and the world?
To answer these questions, The Send has partnered with Eido Research to measure the Kingdom impact of The Send on individuals and society. Integrating metrics from Eido’s Kingdom Impact Framework, this first-of-its-kind impact study, will enable The Send to draw on objective evidence to discover and improve its impact.
Impact study
Through a longitudinal design, participants will answer a short 5-10 minute questionnaire on two occasions:
1. Baseline questionnaire: one month before The Send Norway
2. Endline questionnaire: one month or three months after The Send Norway
Improve The Send’s long-term impact in people’s lives
The research will measure changes that occur in participants’ lives and look to identify why these changes may be occurring. Answers to these questions will allow The Send to build upon effective events and ministry partnerships, and reduce any unwanted impacts. In particular, the research will help The Send discern where specific training and local partnerships are causing individuals to not just feel inspired, but to continue living out missional lifestyles.

Celebrate The Send’s impact with objective evidence
Secondly, results will enable The Send to celebrate with statistical evidence the impact they are having upon participants’ beliefs and actions. All too often, ministries rely on anecdotes and stories to celebrate the impact they are having. While stories are powerful, they are often subjective and lack the rigor of objective evidence.
