OMF Japan Church Planting Research
OMF’s work in Japan focuses on church planting, evangelism, student work, and theological education. It’s a fascinating context to be serving in because of all countries without restrictions on evangelism, Japan has the lowest proportion of Christians. A few years ago, OMF sensed that its church planting efforts could be improved and commissioned a strategic review.
Eido played a central part in this strategic review by conducting research on what worked in church planting. We surveyed and interviewed missionaries and Japanese pastors, helping OMF to understand how responses varied between groups. You can read more about the project here.
